Kamares in Greek , are the  stone Arches covering at the past the whole factory of olive oil pressure mills , and the enormous size  cistern in the yard was collecting all water.

Carefully restored with great respect for its heritage , the estate has been transformed into a distinctive guesthouse that blends authenticity, comfort, and an environmentally conscious philosophy.

This is a destination for travelers seeking more than just accommodation. The four elegantly designed suites offer a warm and intimate retreat for discerning visitors who value quality, privacy, and the unique atmosphere of a historic property. The surrounding area is ideal for outdoor enthusiasts and explorers, featuring scenic walking trails, kayaking adventures along the river, traditional villages, and secluded beaches .
Location : Located in the Apokoronas region,  23 km southeast of Chania town and International airport CHQ, and 7 km inland from the popular beaches of Kalyves.where are all kinds of shops, supermarkets, restaurants, Atm. At 1 km  from the property, are  minimarket,restaurants, gas station, and a pharmacy.

Similar aprtments on the first floor of the property: living room, kitchenette, fireplace, sofa , bathroom with shower. One bedroom with double bed and one bedroom with twin beds, have  covered veranda  with unlimited view.
Visitors are given information on a daily basis about shopping, restaurants, museums, gorges, pathways, beaches, local feasts, the cultural events of the Municipalities of Chania and of Rethymno, and about the customs of the area.

Lending library: lends novels, travel and historical books, books on the fauna and flora, guides and maps.

Swimming pool: available 24 hours a day.Swimming pool: The large 70 sqm swimming pool is located behind the property on a raised terrace surrounded by a gardenwith unlimited view around. It is shared by two other apartments, but our guests usually prefer to go to the nearby beaches.

Full breakfast can be served at request on charge  of 12 euros

Cleaning: 2 times a week.

Linen: Echange of  bed sheets and towels twice a week.

Kitchens: All suites are provided with a small kitchen  for elementory cooking and fridge.

Gardens: Fruits of the fruit trees of Kamares are offered to the guests. In spring, there are plenty of mulberries, greengages, oranges, lemons, apricots and almonds. In the summer, there are medlars, plums, figs, grapes, water melons and melons.

Breakfast table : Every morning, hand-made baskets containing seasonal vegetables like tomatoes, peppers, cucumbers, zucchini, eggplants, beans are laid on the table

A week in paradise!!
We stayed there for a week and we enjoyed every minute in it! It is an ancient building, restored with care and emphasis in details! Excellent facilities, with very comfortable rooms where we felt as if we were at home! Kamares houses is in the heart of a tiny but picturesque village, only 5 minutes from the nearest beach and 25 km from Chania.

We enjoyed the serenity of the small village as well as the variety of a number of choices during our stay concerning quality food, sea and visits at the nearest sites! As soon as we arrived in the appartment, we were happily surprised with bio-products (olive oil, fresh fruits, olives, tomatos) and a bottle of Cretan wine waiting for us.

We totally relaxed and filled our ‘batteries’ beside the pool. The view towards the sea was magnificent from our balcony, especially at sunset! We will definitely come again!
